Common Core NC State Standards

  This project relates to the Common Core and North Carolina Essential Standards for Math. In 9th Grade, students take Math I, and by the end of the course they should be able to interpret different types of functions and know terms such as domain, range, x and y intercepts, etc. This project in my opinion, makes studying functions more entertaining than just going through a textbook.

  I enjoyed working on this project mainly because it forced me to re-learn all of the prior knowledge of functions, but it also made me think of creative ways to display the given topics. Sometimes, showing videos on YouTube and other sources are better than just lecturing about a certain function for an entire class period. In conclusion, this project meets the Common Core and NC Essential Standards and stood to be an interesting task.
